Team Update
We are delighted to announce that we have recruited a new Pharmacist. Mudassar will be joining us in January 2024. He will be able to help the Practice with any medication queries that we receive.
We are also pleased to inform you that we have a new Receptionist/Care Navigator, Kara. Kara will be learning the role from the beginning of April.
New Service
Did you know…? We are participating in a new approach to improve access for patients to GP appointments. The aim is to direct patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, which may be a GP or a pharmacist.
From 1st November, 2021 if your symptoms could be resolved by a booked consultation with the pharmacist instead of the GP, you will be given a same-day referral to a pharmacy of your choice. We think this is a good thing. Once you see how great your local pharmacist is – they are highly trained and skilled clinicians experienced in treating minor illnesses – we don’t think you’ll look back.
This will also help us to free up GP appointments for people with more complex health needs and ensure that everyone gets treated at the right time, by the right healthcare professional.
We are keen to hear what you think and will be listening to your comments and feedback about your experience of using this service

FAILURE TO ATTEND APPOINTMENTS
We aim to provide all our patients with the best possible service and to achieve this we need your co-operation.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please make every effort to cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else. Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason deprives other patients of essential medical services.
Between 4th December 23 and 31st December 23, 855 appointments were not attended. (Data from NHS Digital)

LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT?
A common reason for our clinicians running late is that some patients do not attend on time. Please note, you may not be seen if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment.
